Study a fold with paper first
Use a small paper circle to explore where the edges meet. Mark the center and practice a simple sequence of folds without trying to imitate the behavior of dough exactly.
Notice which hand holds the shape and which hand makes the fold. A paper model is only a way to understand the order of movements.
When using food, follow a reliable recipe for wrapper size, filling quantity, sealing and cooking. Keep the practice notes beside the recipe.
